War of The Roses 2022 – RRLRC 40th Anniversary

Hello Red Rose members and subscribers. The main event is here!

War of the Roses is being held on Saturday 9th July 2022.

This year, to mark our anniversary, the fun starts on Tuesday 5th July and continues through to Monday 11th July 2022, with the ‘War of the Roses’ event being held on Saturday 9th July. Included in the activities will be a TYRO on Friday evening 8th July and an RTV and CCV event on Sunday 10th July for any ALRC member. We would love you to come and join us.

We have now got 9 teams entering the war of the roses from different Land Rover clubs

The event consists of 9 tasks for each team to complete (maybe!) the event is a mixture of winching and gymkhana task and well worth going to spectate.

This year, there will be a party on the Saturday evening, to celebrate the club’s 40th anniversary. There will be a hog roast, bar and live band http://www.snatch.org.uk/the-band.html a central marquee and all are welcome. You will need to pre book tickets for the food at a cost of £2.50 person. We look forward to welcoming you all to share our celebration.

There will also be other events to enjoy, such as a bike trial for the youngsters, Land Rover treasure hunt, welly throwing, a quiz and a colouring competition, so plenty to keep everyone occupied.

We will again be camping at Cartmel Racecourse, which is central for the trial events and trips into the village where you will find all local amenities. The campsite will open on Tuesday 5th July from 9amand will close on Monday 11th July at midday. The site has adequate facilities including toilets, elsan point, hot and cold running water, and showers.
