The Red Rose Land Rover Club has a very strong caravanning section, with all members towing their caravans with (guess what?) that's right, a Land Rover. Usually a Freelander or Discovery and more and more often these days, a Range Rover. A proper family affair held on private land or on organised sites by the club specifically for members and their Land Rovering antics. As a member of the Association of Land Rover Clubs, we are allowed to hold Caravan and Camping weekends on private land, which gives us great flexibility for these events.

As part of the weekends away we often hold TYRO trials, green laning and bike trials together with other activities suitable for all the family, including wellington boot throwing, colouring competitions and quizzes.

The highlight of the Red Rose Land Rover Club camping & caravanning year is the War of the Roses weekend, based around the racecourse at Cartmel in South Cumbria, where 9 ALRC club teams from all over the UK get together in Early Summer in the Lake District to compete in 9 tasks that test their off roading, lateral thinking and Land Rovering to find out who can win the coveted War Of The Roses Trophy.
