The ALRC have had an issue raised regarding Bumpers. Hinged ends and bumpers of inadequate strength are NOT permitted under ALRC regulations A.1 and B.13 and should be enforced at all events. Rule A.1 in combination with rule B.13 combine to make hinged or under strength bumpers cause for disqualification which will be upheld by the ALRC Scrutineering Committee. End caps where fitted must also be in place.
Those attending the Nationals have been warned !
Within RED ROSE LAND ROVER CLUB;
Silhouette Compliancy
Please note that notwithstanding the above rulings, any Land Rover vehicle that does not comply with the general silhouette is still welcome to enter into a RRLRC trial competition and ‘tag on’ to the end of competitors running order. However, in the interests of fair play to those vehicles that do comply with the ALRC rules, such vehicles` score cards will not be validated and there can be no recognition of success nor trophies awarded at the end of trial. But if you have such a vehicle, please come along and have a great day out!
Martin was having fun at INCE – though I can`t imagine why after reading this!–

Well we were creeping around trees all day…and Dogger ended up with a wiggly woggly rear axle,so he
loaded up and went home to consider the problem over a glass or two of liquid inspiration leaving his double drive, Nick, without a motor, so he bunked up with myself and my double driver Alistair. The Mash motor was having overheating problems hopefully because the radiator was blocked after the mud plunge on the first section then suffered a very bent drag link swiftly replaced by C of C Andy . Big mistake! - I will expect the same level of service from all C of C s in the future… Lee (star trialer) Karkoszka took the thermostat out to help the cooling problems as always Deno had a tube of instant gasket to seal it back up. A wrecked engine mount ( probably happened at Cartmel when the dozy motor rolled over ) was allowing the engine to jump about and chew lumps out of the bonnet ,a consensus decided that it needed roping down to the chassis - Simon (I`m not competive) Wigman just happend to have exactly the right size rachet strap, job sorted. Sadly despite everyones best efforts the overheating got worse and we failed to finish. This left only team Karkoszka running, well actually they finished by the skin of their teeth with a slighty wrinkly car and a smoking clutch.
Finally, a very big thankyou to everyone for all your help and that does include everyone even TYRO people who came across after a early finish.
It seems strange but even with a low turnout and car problems I actually had one of my best days trialing ever, its odd that, but then again its not because thats what being in RRLC is all about! A funny mix of bods all sharing and helping each other xxxx
